The Chapel of the Passion: entirely decorated in fresco by Antonio Carracci commissioned by Cardinal Tonti around 1610-11. In the sub-arch again figures of Angels praying with
joined hands and, in the central panel, the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. In the vault panels two Prophets – the one on the left is Daniel – and a figure of the Blessing Eternal. On the walls of the chapel: on the left, the Flagellation and, on the right, Christ Mocked. On the altar frontal, instead of the usual Franciscan symbol, the cross of Golgotha is depicted, with some
symbols of the Passion. On the altar is an oil on canvas by an anonymous master from the second half of the 18th century with the Crucifixion.
