Chapel of St. Anthony of Padua: originally frescoed by Antonio Carracci, like the other two in the left aisle, the chapel was remodelled during the 19th century. The Panzieri family coat of arms is visible in the balustrade. On the altar of this chapel is the painting of St. Anthony of Padua and the Child by Francesco Manno, signed and dated in the lower left-hand corner. The canvas is probably the first work executed for St Bartholomew’s after the fall of the Roman Republic.
